BillsTrust Unlimited Plan paying most bills by credit card

BillsTrust is more than just a facility to have my bills paid, it is a complete system for cash flow, bookkeeping, accounts storage and more. It doesn’t eliminate the need for a bookkeeper or accountant, but significantly reduces the time they require to finalise accounts at end of month or period.

Initially I started using BillsTrust to automate my bill payment, this alone has changed my life. But the more you use the available tools, the more advantages you discover.

My accounts are all now done via emails and internet. As an invoice is sent to me (normally emailed these days), I upload it onto the system immediately and forget about it. It will be paid by the due date by Bills Trust. The invoicor also will get an email advising that the bill has been paid so communication is much better with no effort from me.

These days I use my Apple iPad to check where my cash flow is at (often in bed at night or at a coffee shop). If too many bills are due and insufficient funds are foreseeable, then I simply delay selected bills all from the same in-line application – EASY!!!.

All invoices and summaries are stored online for access or export at any time. This eliminates the need to file them more formally or to have to manually post to bookkeepers or accountants.

We process approximately 30 bills per month through BillsTrust. We like to pay by credit card to help with cash flow and earn Frequent Flyer points. Imagine ALL your invoices that went through your business now had points associated with them. I travel heaps now and always business class purely as a reward for making my business smarter.

There is certainly a calculatable time that we save by using BillsTrust. Perhaps 4-6 hours per months. However, this is not the point. It is finding the 4-6 hours per month is the issue when the phone is ringing, there are orders, quotes, advertising, client meetings, site management etc etc... oh yeah, and the family... the chance to get around to the accounts and paying of invoices was never timely nor regular. This often led to more phone calls (often angry) of people chasing up unpaid accounts. This extra stress was just bad business. BillsTrust completely changes this and gives some order that is mandatory in business regardless of size.

Don’t think of this as purely a saving in time from your day, but one less (major) thing that you need to worry about.
